Maths and English Digital Learning Facilitator (2025/CP090)
Job Introduction
Are you passionate about supporting learners and helping them achieve their full potential through digital learning? East Durham College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths and English Digital Learning Facilitator to join our team on a fixed term basis until June 2027.
About the Role
In this rewarding role, you will support learners in developing their Maths and English skills through digital platforms. You will play a key part in helping to deliver an ambitious curriculum, creating a productive and engaging learning environment within our digital suites, delivering workshops and providing tailored support to help students progress towards their individual goals.
You will help ensure that all learners are motivated, challenged, and supported to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective digital workshop sessions that support learner progress and contribute to an ambitious curriculum
- Provide one-to-one and group support, guidance, and constructive feedback
- Monitor and track learner progress using digital systems
- Support the development and delivery of ambitious and inclusive learning plans in collaboration with teaching staff
- Maintain a well-organised, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues within digital learning spaces
- Contribute to lesson cover within Essential Skills where required
- Complete administrative tasks including registers, reporting, and progress monitoring
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices
What we're looking for
We are looking for someone who is:
- Qualified to at least Level 3 in Maths and/or English
- Experienced in supporting learners to achieve academic success
- Confident using online learning platforms and digital systems
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
- An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Committed to continuous professional development
A teaching qualification and relevant degree or vocational qualification are desirable.

Additional Information
This is a fixed-term position until 30 June 2027. The role may require working across different college campuses.
